Precious Package

This summer at my sponsoring congregation's Camp Agape, they did an activity for our children here at the Haven. The students there, ages 3 to 12, made bracelets to send over to our kiddos at the orphanage.

I wish you could have seen how they all clamored to have a bracelet tied on their little arms. It was a happy day.

At that camp was a precious young girl named Camryn in the 6th grade class. Her heart was touched by seeing the pictures of all these precious kids. I got an e-mail from her a couple of months ago asking if she and her family could pray for one of our babies. She also said she'd love to send a care package of things we need at the orphanage. I gave her a list of ideas, but she also had one of her own. She sewed prayer pillows for our kids! What a precious gift from one child of God to another across the world!

Inside each of the pillows is a pocket where children from Brentwood wrote scriptures and prayers for the babies to have when they go back to their villages.

We're so humbled by sweet Camryn's willingness to spend her time, energy, and money to bless the lives of our babies. All the kids at Brentwood are special to us, and we're so grateful to have this connection with them!
